My day-pack is the worst.
It always happens when you shop in a hurry. I was heading out for a hike and my previous pack had a torn strap, so I picked up the first hydration bladder-compatible pack I could find on the way.
I’ve regretted it ever since.
My main problem with it is that it has no compartments. If I need something from the first-aid kit, I have to empty the whole thing. If I forget to bring (or don’t have room for) a plastic lunchbox, my food always gets squashed. Fortunately, I don’t think my current pack will last too much longer. I need to get me some compartments.
I don’t normally make a habit of writing about gear that I haven’t actually used, but hold off the groans because I do have my very own High Sierra laptop backpack. I’ll quite happily recommend High Sierra packs based on that because I’ve been using it almost every day since mid-2008. The very same pack, for five and a half years. Am I happy with it? Well, I reckon I’ll probably get another few years out of it, so that’s a very big yes from me.
